We played four games, the first was against St. Marks, and the score was 6-4 to them. Then we played against St. John’s and it was 7-4 to us. We then played against Claremont and it was 11-1 to them. Finally we played against Beechwood and the score was 7-6 to them.

We all enjoyed it and it was great fun.

Thank you to Mrs Simkins for driving us there, and to Mrs Ingman, Mr Card and Mr Mudge for supporting us.

The A Team

On Saturday 25th April, the A team went to Tunbridge Wells High School to play a Netball Tournament. We started off playing against Horsmonden. Despite our continuous strong efforts, they won 4-2.

Our second match was against St. Augustine’s. They were very strong players, but we tried really hard to get the ball up in our end of the court. Unfortunately we lost the game 3-0.

Just after our second match our goal attack, Nadine and goal shooter, Maddy, did a shooting competition. In the end they got 10 shots out of 20. We then played what we thought would be our last match against St. John’s. We managed to keep the ball up by our goal and with excellent passing and shooting from Maddy and Nadine we won the game 5-1.

As we won against St. John’s we got to play three more matches which would determine our place as 9th, 10th, or 11th in the A team tournament. The first of the three matches we were left to play was against St. Peter’s. We were so excited, so we had lots of energy and we won the game 4-0. That meant we could come 9th or 10th.

Our second match was against Claremont. They were really tough to beat and the final score was a close 2-1 to them. Our final match of the day was against St. Paul’s. We really wanted to win our last match, so we tried really hard and the last score was 11-0 to us! That meant we were 10th out of 16 schools.

Thank you to Mrs Waller and Mrs Mesher for supporting us and to Mr Smith and Miss Church who came along to watch. Also thank you to the B team who cheered us on whilst they weren’t winning all the matches!!

Team: Suzan, Maddy, Nadine, Sasha, Lauren, Emily and Alice.

The B Team

We played five matches in total including the final. Our first match was against Horsmanden, they played well but we had amazing defences. The final score was 2-3 to us.

Our second match was against St.Augustine's. We had played them once before, so we knew their tactics. The final score was 2-3 to us.

Our third match was against St. Matthew’s. We played brilliantly and with our teamwork, we pulled through with a final score of 5-1 to us.

Our final match was against Pembury. We had never played them before so we didn’t know how well they could play. They were obviously a new team, and hadn’t had much experience. The over all score was 7-1 to us.

As we had won all of our four matches we were in the final. The deciding match was against Claremont. Our amazing centre Jodie was passing the ball as fast as lighting down the court. The over all score was 5-1to us.

When we had finished our matches there was a shooting competion. Which meant me and Olivia had to rush off. We tried really hard and came second.

Thank you to Mrs Mesher for umpiring and Mrs Waller for supporting us also thank to Mr Smith and Miss Church for coming and watching us and a big thank you to the ‘A’ team for cheering us on when they were not playing.

Team: Megan, Zoë, Francesca, Eleanor, Phoebe, Jodie Olivia and Jessica.

On Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th April, Tonbridge Juddians played in the west coast festival in Weston-Super-Mare.

Our first match was against Ealing B. In the first half we dominated and came out with 6 tries to 0. In the second half, they fought back but we held strong and scored 2 tries to make the final score 8-0. Our second match was against Market Harbourough B. We played well and won the game6-0. Our final match was against the hosts, Weston-Super-Mare. We kept most of the possession and scored 5 tries to win the match 5-0.

On Sunday we played our semi-final against Market Harborough A. We battled and came out on top, 2-1 after the first half. Then we came and scored 5 more tries to win 7-0.

We were in the final!

The final was against Ealing A. We played well, especially Huw who saved us with breakaway tackles. We ended the match 4-0 to Tonbridge. The team felt sorry for Ealing because the had two injuries, a sprained ankle and severe concussion.

Thank you to my Dad for coaching us while we were there.

Last Saturday Simon, Max and I went to Gillingham for the second part of the Kent Swimming Gala.

I was the first to swim, 50m breaststroke, but unfortunately I didn’t qualify. Sadly Max and Simon didn’t qualify either, but the good thing for them was that they both had personal best times.

Thank you, to Mrs Waller for organising us and to Mr Killick for supporting us.

- 3 April 2009 01:41 - GeneralNetball B Team v Matfield & Brenchley

On Thursday the netball ‘B’ team played against Matfield and Brenchley at home. But as they were late to arrive we played a ‘friendly’ match against St. Augustine’s, as they had arrived to play against Matfield & Brenchley after us.

They played very well but we managed to stop all but one of their goals, so the final score was 4-1 to us. The score could have been very different as we only played a short game.

Matfield & Brenchley arrived ready for the match. We had two amazing year 5’s, Sophie R and Hannah J; they volunteered to play as we were down by two players. We played our best and had a successful win with the score 9-3 to us.

Thank you, Mrs Waller for organising the matches and a special thank you to the footballers for spending their break time supporting us!

Team; Jodie, Francesca D, Zoë, Olivia, Eloise, Megan T, Hannah J and Sophie R.
