Speedstacking On Wednesday 10th December St. James’ Speedstacking Teams, 1, 2, 3 & 4 went to St. John’s School to take part in a tournament.
Each team had a member from each year group.
First we did the 3-3-3 stack and Joe and Amy went into the ‘stack off’, however St. Marks’ won.
Then for the last set we did the timed relays and our teams 1 and 4 got through to the final, we were sure to win as it was St. James’ against St. James’ However only one team could win and that team was team 4.

When the game was five minutes old Claremont scored to make it 1-0. A few minutes before half time Harry got a good through ball to Joe who scored. After half time we battled well and Haytham managed to slot the ball past the keeper. Not long after that the ball was like a pin ball, bouncing off several players but eventually Nathan managed to clear it. Claremont got a lucky goal as it bounced off one of our players and went in. Time was running out and Claremont had a good chance and rolled the ball into the back of the net. The game finished 3-2 to Claremont.
Man of the Match was Sam, who made some great saves throughout the match.
Thank you Mrs Waller for organising the match and to everyone who came along to support us.

Report by Fraser and Nathan A Team vs Bidborough, Horsmonden and PemburyOn Wednesday 3rd December St. James’ ‘A’ Netball team played three matches at the High School. Our first match was against Pembury and they were fantastic. Even though we tried our hardest, they managed to break through our defences and score an amazing nine goals, with the final score 9-0 to them.
Our second match was against Bidborough and they were incredibly tall and tough. Even with our amazing defence we lost with the final score 6-5 to them.
Finally we played Horsmonden; they were fairly small yet very fast. In the first half we were losing 5-0 to them. But we pulled through the second half thanks to our brilliant shooters Nadine and Eloise, leaving the final score 5-5.
Thank you Mrs Simkins and Mrs Woolgar for taking us and to Mrs Waller for our three very enjoyable matches.
Player of the Match was Suzan.

Building Project UpdateThe new science room has been finished and handed over to us three weeks ahead of schedule.
Although the new furniture has not yet arrived the children have already begun using the room.
We hope to have the new room fully equipped by January for timetabled lessons to begin for all classes.
We would like to thank our builders ‘Hurstways’ of Cranbrook for managing the work to allow minimum disruption to us all and to the PFA for their very generous contribution of £20,443 to allow us to complete the decoration and to furnish the room.
